Heat Pump Cylinder a year after installation.

“On the day of moving into our new house we knew immediately that we had to replace the existing back boiler heating system. We also had to get the gas leak repaired that the previous owners had been unaware of! After fixing the leak, the British Gas engineer made us an appointment for one of their reps to come and give us a quote for a new gas combi boiler. The quote was ridiculously high but the rep insisted that British Gas were the only ones who could do the job right.
We were not happy with either the price or the attitude of the British Gas rep, so we decided to call Central Plumbing and Heating for a second opinion and quote. I am so glad we did. Central had previously fitted an oil combi boiler in our last house so I knew we could trust them to be honest with their quote, and that they would do a good job.
On the off chance, we also asked whether it would be possible to get a quote for installing an air source heat pump, since we had wanted to have one in our last house. Liam arrived and after assessing the heat loss value of the property, told us it would in fact be cheaper to install a heat pump (almost half the price of the British Gas quote), and so, because we are trying to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, this is what we went for.
We gave Liam complete control over the design and followed all his recommendations.
The system that Central installed has saved us so much money, it is clean and simple to use, the house is warm and the bills are low -- so we are very happy!
